DC Gate Kits
No need for mains (240V) power at the gate site the DC gate Kit includes a 15V power supply. Run low voltage wire up to 50 metres to your nearest 240V outlet. Running low wire voltage wire is safe and can even be stapled along the fence line or run it in conduit just underground.
Letrons DIY heavy duty 12Volt Swing Gate Motor. Ideal for open-mesh farm gates to 4.5 metres. Engineered for tough conditions, it is designed to suit heavy duty single or double swing gates, and sliding gates.
In the event of power failure the12V, 9Amp battery means the gate opener will still operate.
The DC gate opener kit is designed for easy installation by either the handyman or professional gate and fencing contractor.
An Electrician is not required.
A lot of swinging gates have cheap and poorly designed hinges, these hinges have a short working life span, and cause the gate to seize and not swing freely. Letron has manufactured a Ball Race Hinge to prevent this problem. Conventional hinges supplied with most gates have a single ball bearing and this bears all the weight of he gate and soon fails. Letron's hinge has a horizontal ball race that evenly spreads the weight bearing load to ensure smooth operation of swinging gates.
Raising hinges for swinging gates on sloping sites are a major problem for gate opening systems, with the gate not remaining parallel to the gate post.
WARRANTY
Letron Auto Gates are covered by a One Year back to Base Warranty.
Costs of return are the purchasers responsibility.
The Warranty commences on date of sale and invoice must be retained for Warranty to be honoured.
The Warranty covers defects of materials in the unit under normal and correct use.
Warranty may be voidable under the following circumstances:
Unit has been incorrectly installed in accordance with instructions provided.
Unit has corrosion of metal parts, insect infestation. water damage, sand/dirt or vegetation in unit.
Unit has been repaired or had modifications not authorised by Letron.
Unit has been subject to misuse and/or undue force.
Regular maintenance has been neglected.
Batteries carry a Six Month Warranty.
Remote Controls carry a Three Month Warranty.
MAINTENANCE
For efficient operation of your Letron Auto Gate Opener regular maintenance is required. Gate Hinges should be greased to ensure the gate swings freely. The area around the gate should be kept clear of long grass and overgrown bushes and plants. These can obstruct gate operation and allow infestation of motors for example, ants. Motors should be kept dry and free of dirt and sand. Most automatic gate opener failures are caused by lack of regular maintenance, loose bolts, wiring and condition of battery. When the gate is DC powered, please check power point is working before reporting motor fault.
